With regard to the new USDOL overtime rule, employers are making preparations to implement changes to overtime policies and salaries in order to meet the Dec. 1, 2016 deadline. Changes will likely include capping overtime hours for hourly-wage employees, updating annual salaries for employees who currently fall below the overtime eligible threshold, and updating job descriptions to ensure that tasks can be completed within a 40-hour work week.
